System Settings⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

In this section, you can view and edit the basic system settings that are already created.

Parameter
Description

Device Name

Set the device name.

This parameter is displayed in the web-page header.

User Name

Displays the username (Login) used to access the unit management interfaces.

Allows to change the current username.

Password and Confirm Password

To change the password set in the previous configuration after unmarking the option “keep current system password" in the corresponding checkbox

Return to the default settings for "Password" and "User Name" (any values with non-zero length) by unmarking the checkbox “Keep current system password” and leaving the corresponding fields empty and save the configuration at the bottom of the page.

WEB Interface language

Change the default system language (English) into Russian, French, Italian or Chinese language.

HTTPS only

Make all HTTP connections to the unit be performed via HTTPS (HTTP with SSL only) by marking the option “HTTPS only” in the corresponding checkbox.

By default, this option is disabled.

Enable Telnet

Enable/disable remote device control by the command line using Telnet protocol.

Enable SSH

Enable/disable remote device control by the command line using SSH protocol.

SSH (Secure Shell) protocol provides secure remote control to network devices. Its functionality is similar to the Telnet protocol, but, unlike Telnet, SSH encodes all protocol messages, including transmitted passwords. By default, only access via Telnet is enabled.

Start SNTP

Start SNTP service by marking the option “Start SNTP” in the corresponding checkbox. By default, this option is disabled.

SNTP is necessary for correct time display, for example, in system logs.

Use GNSS time

Enable/disable GNSS time.

Disabled by default.

SNTP IP Address

Set the IP address of a valid SNTP server.

The unit must have an active connection with the SNTP server in order to receive time services.

Time Zone

Set the time zone in POSIX format. For example: GMT+4.

Latitude

Set the latitude of the geographical place where the unit is installed.

GPS latitude format is [N/S]YY.YYYYYY.

Use the Google Map feature to automatically fill in this field (follow the indications below).

Longitude

Set the longitude of the geographical place where the unit is installed.

GPS longitude format is [E/W]XX.XXXXXX.

Use the Google Map feature to automatically fill in this field (follow the indications below).

Enable GNSS Receiver

Enable/disable GNSS receiver.

Disabled by default.

Access White List

List of IP addresses for restricting access to the device via telnet, ssh, http/https, snmp protocols (ports 22, 23, 80, 162, 443).

If there is at least one address in the list, attempts to establish a connection to the device from addresses (networks) not listed in this list will be rejected.

Click the «Open Map» button to open the Google map:

Type the location name in the "Address bar", click the «Find» button to search for it and then move to the exact location where the unit is installed. Double click in that position on the map and the Google pointer (see picture above) will be placed there. After clicking the «OK» button, “Latitude” and “Longitude” fields are automatically filled in with the GPS coordinates.
